Any Questions on Surf Lessons for Kids at Tico’s Surf School in Sámara?

At what age does it make sense to start surfing?

As you probably know, kids are quick learners and often have a very good connection to their body. However, we want and need everyone to be safe in the water, so basic swimming skills are required. We start teaching kids at age 3.

Do we as parents have to be around during the lesson?

You could, but we don’t need you to – and in our experience, it’s often better for the kids’ progress to not have mom & dad watching. You can fully trust our experienced instructors and enjoy a refreshing drink at our neighbouring beach restaurant, while witnessing the youngsters having fun from afar. Or why not book your own lesson to join in on the fun?!

Why is the kids’ class the same price as an adult’s class?

We charge the same price for every age and body because the attention, care and knowledge we apply to our customers are always the same. With kids especially, safety is of utmost importance to us and therefore we want to pay extra close attention to the little ones.
