Surf Lessons in Sámara
Each surf lesson typically lasts 1 hour to 90 minutes, depending on wave conditions and customer. You will be able to practice on your own with your board afterwards or the next day. We make appointments individually considering tides and skill level, so please get in touch with us to book your lesson!
Private Lesson: 80 USD
Semi-Private Lesson (2 pax, 1 instructor): 70 USD per person
Group Lesson (3 or more pax): 60 USD per person
Surfboard Rentals
We offer the widest range of surf equipment in town and can help you choose the right match for your skill level and current conditions. We also rent Stand Up Paddle Boards.
Softtop: 10 USD/hr, 30 USD/day, 40 USD/overnight
Hardtop: 5 USD/hr, 25 USD/day, 30 USD/overnight
SUP: 15 USD/hr, 50 USD/day, 60 USD/overnight

Rent Performance Surfboards in Sámara
You’re an experienced surfer and are travelling Costa Rica without your own surfboard? No worries, we’ve got you! We rent out our high performance shortboards to those who want to go to more challenging breaks.

Surf Photography in Playa Sámara
Let us know if you want us to take pictures or your most memorable moments in the waves! We take high-resolution pictures and videos and send them to you via a download link in the next 24 hours after your lesson.
Pictures cost 20 $ per person in a private or semi-private class, or 10 $ per person in a group lesson (more than 3 people).
Surf Coaching
Our individual surf coaching includes video analysis and helps you improve not just by our coaches tips, but also by visually identifying strengths and weaknesses in your technique. We use the footage to provide targeted feedback, allowing for precise corrections and skill advancement. By reviewing both video and photos of your finest moments, you gain deeper insights into your performance, accelerating your progress on the waves.
Surf Trips
We love taking our customers on unforgettable trips to our favorite local surf spots, including Playa Camaronal, Playa Corozalito, Playa Buena Vista and Playa Barrigona.
Kayak Rentals
Playa Sámara is perfect for kayaking out to Isla Chora and to snorkel with a high chance to spot colorful fish, and maybe even a turtle or two when the water is clear. We have several kayaks available for rent.

Kids Surf Lessons
Teaching kids how to surf is one of our biggest passions. All of our surf instructors are also certified lifeguards, ensuring the highest level of safety. We understand what’s important for parents to feel at ease, allowing kids to have fun and develop their surfing skills in a secure environment.
Beach Chair Rentals
Whether before or after your surf lesson, while watching a loved one having fun in the waves or just for a day of relaxation right on the beach: We offer beach chairs for rent in Playa Sámara! They come in sets of two beach chairs, including an umbrella, a locker for your valuables and access to our high-speed wifi right on Sámara Beach. You will also have access to a beach shower and bathrooms as many times as you’d like.
